You’d think I would have learned. Nope. When my ex-husband and I got engaged, we decided to go get some tattoos. Having an aversion to putting other peoples’ names on our bodies, we decided to go with a symbol that meant something to both of us. We saw ourselves as two halves of a whole; the masculine and feminine in harmony, complementing each other.
Unlike the tattoo’s quality and our marriage, our friendship has withstood the test of time so we both still have these tattoos. We plan on commemorating our divorce one day by having them redone.
